Our Gennusa Excellente mouthpieces, the cornerstone of RJ Music Group, were designed by Ignatius "Iggy" Gennusa. Iggy was widely known for the beauty of his sound so he designed and manufactured the Gennusa Excellente mouthpiece to sell. We purchased his business in 2003 and have maintained all the quality of his original design. Manufactured here in the United States, the JJ Babbitt Company still uses the original formula as well as our original core. We also re-introduced one of Iggy's original cores, the Retro model. 

In order to broaden our inventory to include mouthpieces made from the German Zinner blank, we designed the REDWINE mouthpiece. This popular blank is sent to RJ Music Group for Ben Redwine to reface to specifications that have been shown to produce the most resonant sound.
